2. Meet the world's newest country
Prepare to officially meet the world's newest country: South Sudan. Formed in 2011, South Sudan will participate in its first-ever world expo with an entire pavilion dedicated to it. The all-white pavilion design is meant to showcase a blank canvas of potential and possibilities that lay ahead for the young country.
3. Blockchain spotlight
Dubai Expo 2020 is the perfect opportunity to learn about the latest buzz in the tech world: blockchain. Make your way to the BlockExpo and the World Blockchain Summit 2020 to discover what the hype is all about. This Blockchain expo will take place at the brand new Dubai Exhibition Centre.
4. UAE's first opera
In another first, the Dubai Expo 2020 will witness the launch of UAE's first-ever opera, Al Wasl, in October 2020. The show will be performed in Arabic and English and will feature more than 100 artists and musicians. Al Wasi explores UAE's Bedouin roots and the country's status as a multicultural hub. Mohammad Fairouz, the lead composer, will imbibe a unique approach to the opera.

Yes, you read that right! Head to the Netherlands pavilion at the Dubai Expo and marvel at the soft patter of indoor rain. Using innovative SunGlacier technology, water is produced from the air via solar energy and used to irrigate crops. At the pavilion, you can watch this amazing technology at play, creating the magical illusion of indoor rainfall. A similar concept is also on display at the Czech Republic pavilion, named the Solar Air Water Earth Resources.

There's a whole pavilion at the Dubai Expo dedicated to the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg, home to several of the world's most popular luxury car brands. At this pavilion, you can not only witness luxury cars up close and personal, but also learn the secrets of the trade. A must-visit for any petrolhead!
7. Explore the marvelous architecture
Dubai Expo 2020 is dubbed to be a hub for creative and cutting-edge architecture. You can walk around the venue to admire the beautiful architecture on display. Specifically, explore the 'Starchitects' which are said to be superstars of the architectural world. At the Al Wasl Plaza, over 250 laser projectors create life-like visuals. Other architectural delights include the lantern-shaped China pavilion, the falcon-shaped UAE pavilion, and many others.
8. Embark on a French adventure
Experience the beautiful sights and sounds of the French Riviera, simply from the Dubai Expo. At the polygon-shaped Monaco pavilion that is spread across multiple levels, you can experience the 'Kaleidoscope' exhibition which showcases Monaco's art, culture, history, gastronomy and innovation.
